Opportunities for Educators
One great way to get involved in global issues and sustainability education is by integrating Facing the Future resources into your teaching. If you would like to be more deeply involved in our work, we invite you to consider the following opportunities.
Share your experience and let Facing the Future send you to a conference!
Would you like to continue your professional development by sharing your knowledge of global sustainability education with other teachers and have your conference costs reimbursed? As a Peer Educator, you will join a community of educators and present workshops about your teaching experiences using Facing the Future curriculum resources at education conferences and school or district professional development meetings.
"The conference went very well and the teachers were extremely impressed . . . I was very proud to support Facing the Future and the work that you do. It was wonderful to see the teachers’ faces light up."
- Michelle Balfe-Keefer, Peer Educator, Tillamook Forest Center, Tillamook, OR
Facing the Future will reimburse conference registration and pre-approved travel costs and provide a toolkit with resources to support conference applications and presentations as well as materials to give to attendees.
If you are interested in becoming a Peer Educator, please read the program description below. Applications are accepted throughout the year.

We need your help to illustrate the importance of global and sustainability issues and positive solutions to those issues.
If you have photos, artwork, videos, or other materials illustrating these issues that you would like to share with Facing the Future for our publications, presentations, or website, please share them with us.
